Our commitment
We are committed to making taproute accessible in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard the European Accessibility Act points to. Accessibility is treated as part of building the product, not a one-off audit.
Conformance status
taproute is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the service meets the standard, but some content does not yet fully meet every success criterion. The areas we know about are listed below.
What we have done
- Full keyboard operation. Every control (including the link list, dialogs and tabbed panels) can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and there is a "skip to content" link on every page.
- Visible focus. A clear focus indicator follows the keyboard through the interface.
- Screen-reader structure. Pages use real landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), headings, labels and table headers, and icon-only buttons carry text labels.
- Readable contrast. Text colours are chosen to meet the AA contrast ratio in both the light and dark themes.
- Respects reduced motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, we turn off smooth-scrolling and animations.
- Resizes and reflows. The layout uses relative units, so it holds up when text is enlarged.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas fall short. We are working on them.
- Analytics charts. Some data visualisations convey information primarily through shape and colour; the underlying figures are available, but the interactive hover detail is not yet fully exposed to assistive technology.
- Hebrew. The interface currently ships in English. A Hebrew, right-to-left version is built but not yet enabled, so a fully localised experience is not available today.
- Hosted visitor pages. Pages our customers build and publish are partly under their control; we give them accessible defaults, but the final result depends on the content they add.
Tell us about a barrier
If you meet a barrier using taproute, or need something in a different format, please tell us. It helps us fix it and it is the fastest way to get you unblocked.
Write to info@taproute.io. Please describe the problem, the page you were on, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. A person reads that inbox and we aim to respond within 30 days.
How we test
We check accessibility with a mix of automated tooling and manual testing (keyboard-only passes, screen-reader spot checks, and contrast measurement) against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This statement was last reviewed on the date shown above and will be updated as we close the gaps listed here.
